Pooja Singh
Hiii I’m Pooja Singh and am a junior in Computer Science at UMD. I’m from Jersey so I have my jersey swaggg at all times haha. I love to sing so I decided to join ANOKHA and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made in college. I’ve always loved to sing so ANOKHA was the perfect way to use that energy. Some of my other hobbies include swimming so I was on the UMD Club Swim for a little while and jogging around campus. I can also break out in dance at any time :)
Anjana Sekaran
Hii! I'm Anjana, and I'm a sophomore finance major on the premed track. I've been learning South Indian classical music (Carnatic) and dance (Kuchipudi) for several years now. I was also in show choir for three years in high school and used to play the violin/viola at some point. Aside from that, I love to dance, watch funny movies, cheer on the Redskins, and listen to/sing along with pop, hip-hop, rap, and Bollywood music. I'm so excited for a wonderful year and many more to come with such a talented and dynamic group! <3
Esha Murty
Hi! I'm Esha and I'm a sophomore Materials Engineering major. My only musical experience before Anokha was shower-singing. I love to dance and I'm a proud member of UMD's Indian classical dance team, Moksha. I listen to hip-hop/rap, electronic/trance, pop, play the drums, and I can't stand in one place without breaking out. Anokha is a group of truly talented, and really fun people and I am so excited to spend the next few years with them! When I'm not singing or dancing, I love to eat, sleep, be around people I like, learn the lyrics to rap songs, and read Harry Potter ☮ ♥ :)

Hello all! My name is Sanjay Chainani and I am a freshman Neurobiology and Physiology major with a bunch of other complicated academic plans that I don't fully know yet. I've learned Hindustani classical music for about seven years but my main musical background is annoying my roommate and everyone in my house by constantly belting Bollywood songs. I'm super super excited to be part of the Anokha family and can't wait to show you what we got in the coming four years! =)
